It is AWESOME!!! I LOVE IT!! I have always had constant problems with a green pool. It's in the direct sun in South Texas. We had to replace our liner, so it's only been in the pool for 1 and 1/2 weeks. Ordered this ionizer because adding chlorine, phosphate control etc. can’t keep up with the algae that forms in our pool. We live in Southern California and in the summers the sun can beat relentlessly. It’s only been a short time but the algae situation has already improved without adding any more chemicals. Unit itself is unobtrusive, hardly notice its there. To get maximum solar charge we have it tethered in the sunniest spot in the pool. The first brass or copper vertical rod that goes in the basket area of the equipment. It turned green and had a lot of a thick green hard substance on it. Put the second one in and its working fine. Would like to know how much to replace the first brass/copper rod it seems to be damaged. Please let me know. Its working well!

This year is the last year of the small pool for the grandkids. It’s just 16’x36” the new pool we upgraded to is 24’x54”. We’ll get that up over the winter. I was skeptical when I ordered this however it’s unbelievable how clear the water has gotten. I only use one 3” chlorine tab about every 2 weeks. No shock and no algaecide or clarifier. I’ll check back next summer to update, but at this point I’m amazed. Ps we were fighting an algee bloom when it came in the mail. I broomed it and changed the filter, and it killed it now.
