I have always had issues with algae in my pool, in fact there was algae in the pool when I received my ionizer. I scrubbed up the algae, placed the ionizer in the pool, and in a day I had a crystal clear pool with dead algae at the bottom. It has been crystal clear ever since! It will be 2 weeks July 14 since I cleaned, vacuumed, treated, and launched the USSI Lumiere on to the waters of my South Texas Pool. First off, I apologize for the 1 star I previously gave this. Customer service emailed me and we sorted it out. My advice, follow the instructions by the letter. I did not do the first cleaning in 7 days, more like 3 weeks. Now I do it weekly. I included a picture and I want to point out that I have not put a chemical in for 2 weeks! And it is crystal clear! That is crazy considering i'm in sunny Southern California! Just give it time, follow the rules, and you will be pleasantly surprised at how well this thing works

Before I put the AK600 in my pool it was forest green from service to bottom. I was so feed up dumping money into the bottomless pit I was at my wits end. This has to work or I filling it in with dirt and seeding grass. I read the directions and said to my self, this has to work. I did not add any more chemicals NOTHING... I wish I could send a picture but I do not have the fancy phone for such things, but you will have to take my word. It is crystal clear, so clear you can see the date on a dime in my deep end (6'). I love it and would recommend this product to everyone who wants to save mega dollars. To this date, 10/08/19 I have not added any further chemicals to my pool. As you know here in Georgia we are still having 90 degree weather.

After opening my pool this summer, discovered an electrical problem which took 2 weeks before resolving. The algae was out of control. After getting things up and running we still had a serious algae problem. After lot of pool shock and chlorine it was getting better but still wan't crystal clear and that's when I found the solar pool ionizer. 3 weeks of using the ionizer both my chlorine use and shock treatments are half of what I previously used and my pool is finally looking really good. Live in the high desert of West Texas. Little over 4000’ in elevation, but a very dry area with only around 12” of rain a year. Decided to build the dogs a nice pond they could cool off in during the heat of the summer. Not as hot as the low desert areas but still gets up over a 100 degrees and we normally have humidity less than 20%. The pasture ponds get nasty after a good rain due to pond scum and algae. This device has kept the dogs swimming hole nice and clean. It’s not real big, about 9’ x 6’ and 4 foot deep, but no scum, no algae and in full sunlight.

I am totally impressed with this product. I was very skeptical because I worked as a water resources technician for the state of California for over 18 years and had a lot of water quality experience. Algae is very hard to prevent! Let alone control. Needless to say your product is an exceptional way to keep the water crystal clear in my above ground pool without the need for excessive use of chlorine or any other chemicals. I just hope that It lasts a long time and that the copper anodes are always available for replacement.

This has been an incredible addition to our pool maintenance arsenal. We have been using the ionizer for about a month and our pool is crystal clear ever since. Before, we constantly battled algae. Since we have been using the ionizer, no algae. We were previously dumping several bottle of algeacide in the pool every week. Since we started using the ionizer, we haven't used a single bottle. We used to have to balanced the Ph constantly and in the past month, we used Ph Up just one time after a big rain. We have drastically reduced the amount of chlorine in the pool and have not needed any shock. The reduced chlorine means a much more comfortable use of the pool by granddaughters with sensitive skin. I am sure we have paid for the ionizer in the first month with the significant reduction in chemicals we have used. I can't recommend it enough.

My frustration level was getting pretty high! I saw this advertised on Facebook and became intrigued. What sold me was the NASA connection and the technology working on the space station. And, I have a whole house water purification system. A component of that system is an ionizer, similar to this one. I decided to give it a try and it works! Had algae issues out of no where. Also had cloudy water . I dropped this thing in after a good cleaning and let it do it’s thing. Since water has been crystal clear and I haven’t seen froth if algae along the side or bottom of my liner. I’m about to clean it for the first time. This unit seems to be working as advertised, and that is obviously pleasing. It is a little early to determine how well this will continue. Having said that …. I have no valid reason for doubting the useful life of my AK600. It seems to be nicely engineered and well constructed with quality materials. I haven't had good luck with solar powered lighting, which isn't a good reason to have poor expectations of other solar powered equipment.
