The AK-600 is nothing short of a pool "miracle"....I was plagued with Algae for over 2 years with my pool. Changed water twice; went for a fortune in chemicals...nothing worked... Seen the ad for this product, saw the reviews & purchased one. That was about 1 year ago & since that purchase, NOT ONE BIT OF ALGAE IN ALL THAT TIME ...!! Cut my chemical costs more than half & my pool sparkles every day.. I highly recommend this product to anyone for any pool...!!!

For over two years I had algae problems with my pool....I tried different chemicals, algecides, etc....nothing worked.... Then I spotted the Luminiere "miracle" (I now call it) & sent for one.....BINGO...that was almost a year ago & to this day....NOT ONE GLIMPSE OF ALGAE ANYWHERE.......Nada..!!!! To me, it's the best invention since the "wheel"......!!! & I used only 2 clorine tabs per week & sometime only one tab.....THE PRODUCT IS GREAT.....!!!!

NO pool should be without this product. I was VERY skeptical, but, even this season, when opening, I realized I forgot to order another copper anode. In the wait, guess what, green kept coming back when I treated other ways. Once the anode was here and installed, back to the beautiful pool I expect! I am spoiled. Great product. One wish is that the anodes came in multipacks with discount.

Didn't get to cleaning it soon enough when new, and couldn't disassemble it without breaking the plastic retainer. Ordered new parts and will try to do better in the future.

The ionizer keeps our pool crystal clear with just weekly chlorine administrations. It works great!

Lumiere is SUCH a great company.. I ordered the wrong part, and they noticed what I had purchased a year ago, substituted the right one, and credited me with the difference. THAT is proactive customer service. I highly recommend this product and this company.

The coil brought the pool back to the way it looked when I first started using the AK600 solar unit, unfortunately at this time I don't have any pics to upload but will take some and do so at a later date. I do want to sing praise to the support I received when I needed it, it's thumbs up all the way as far as I'm concerned.

Have not had any visible signs of algae, since deploying the AK-600 Solar Pool Ionizer. I purchased this unit 1 tear ago and the only algae that developed was when my circulating pump had ceased, but the algae was not bad because of the AK-600 working so well. Impressed and purchased extended warranty and the copper rod does last a full year, based on my pool capacity of 16,000 gallons.

I waited for about a month before I gave this review!!!! My pool is super clear and I have had no return of green or black algae as we had before. I purchased one for my son as a Christmas gift.

I was skeptical but the reviews were good. Gave it a try. Just as stated, it took about a week to see results. Very pleased. Works as stated. No algae at all. Have not added algecide and chlorine use seems to be on the decline. Still a bit concerned as anode showed significant deterioration after the 1st 2 weeks. Maybe this will moderate .

In my 3rd week, now. Using 2 3in chlorine tablets/week instead of 5--running my pool pump and filter 12 hours less per day running my pool sweeper only once per day--hope it keeps up. And our temps have averaged 95-103 for the past 2 months.

We have only had it for 2 weeks and it seems to be doing the job not had it long enoughto really tell a big difference.

The device works better than I ever expected. I was having to run my chlorinator at 5 (wide open) constantly in the summer (Texas) to keep my chlorine level at an acceptable level. This lead to build up of Cyanuric Acid. Which lead to partial draining of the pool. When the chlorine levels would get down near 1 ppm I would start to see algae around the edges of the pool. Since I installed this device in May 2019 I am running the chlorinator at 1.5 and the chlorine levels are still 4 to 5ppm (as of July 2019). I have seen any signs of Algae and the pool appear to be crystal clear all the time. I research and thought about this for over a year I just wish I had purchased it sooner.

Started with a pool that Was having trouble keeping it clear of algae. After just 3 weeks my pool once again is so clear. I feel I made an investment that will make my life easier for me .I have told others about this product .

Although skeptical at first I was intrigued by the possibility that I could rid our pool of algae and save money too. After a month of using it I'm happy to say that I've achieved both goals. WOW! As you can see by the photo our pool sparkles in the sunlight like never before and we have reduced our chemical usage by at least 50%.. I highly recommend this product if your goals are the same as mine.

I've had the ionizer in my pool for 2 weeks and so far, so good. It was easy to set up and has been easy to maintain. The pool water is very clear so the initial results are very good.

Had algae issues out of no where. Also had cloudy water . I dropped this thing in after a good cleaning and let it do it’s thing. Since water has been crystal clear and I haven’t seen froth if algae along the side or bottom of my liner. I’m about to clean it for the first time. Highly recommend it because I’ve yet to put any shock in my pool since I’ve dropped this thing in the pool. Just let my tablets float as normal.

This unit seems to be working as advertised, and that is obviously pleasing. It is a little early to determine how well this will continue. Having said that …. I have no valid reason for doubting the useful life of my AK600. It seems to be nicely engineered and well constructed with quality materials. I haven't had good luck with solar powered lighting, which isn't a good reason to have poor expectations of other solar powered equipment.

It is worth every penny.

I got my solar powered algae eliminator about 10 days ago. I did my first cleaning of the unit this past weekend. I am pleased to say that the unit does appear to ionize the pool water based on the amount of waste I removed. I must wait 2 more works before knowing if the unit actually prevents algae growth and if chemical use is reduced. I truly hope it does, especially with algae growth prevention. I’m tired of having to sweep the pool so frequently.

The AK600 Solar Pool Ionizer works great! We have had it for about two weeks and are very pleased with how it functions. At this time, we have been able to eliminate half of the chlorine used in the past. If you are thinking about purchasing the Solar Pool Ionizer, we highly recommend this unit!

we have had trouble every year keeping our pool water clear, this year we bought this amazing copper solar powered cleaner and we have not added anything ,and our water is crystal clear....kinda expensive, but add up how much you spend on additives and BAM its a smart choice

To say I was beyond skeptical is putting it mildly because of all of the scams out there. Besides not having a green thumb, my pool experience is just as bad if not worst. I couldn't even get my pool clear like the instructions stated before starting. I put the thing in and hoped for the best. About 2 or 3 days later after not seeing much difference I took the thing out of the water kind of slow and immediately black water was coming from the thing and going back into the pool. That and the screen was dozing blueish green stuff. I figured it was doing something. I just wasn't sure what. The next day I took it out close to the edge of my pool and quickly. It was full of the blueish green stuff again. But wait. I was able to begin to see the top run of my pool ladder. Cleaned the thing again and the next morning I saw the top run clearly as well as beginning to see the 3rd run. Yeppers. More blueish green junk cleaned off. The next day was awesome because I was able to see the bottom of my pool. I cleaned it again. Sadly in Florida the weather is not always nice and I've experienced a few really cloudy days and it hasn't been as clear. I cleaned it and am going out to pool this morning to see how it looks. Regardless, I gladly give the unit a 100% plus rating and we'll worth the investment. Great. The sun is out and was able to see down to the 4th run. Still a little cloudy, but I know its really working. And the little thing has done most of it except cleaning the tube which sure is much easier than brushing and vacuuming every day. Great invention and investment!!

So far the pool is crystal clear!

We have had the AK600 Solar Pool Ionizer in our pool for the past two weeks. Prior to receiving we had been battling algae problems and could not get our pool water clear without putting shock in. Not sure if backwashing helped resolve the issue but we have also had tremendous amounts of rain and the water has become crystal clear with the ionizer in. So far... so good.

I was worried at first due to the cost of the AK600 solar pool ionizer. My first one got a leak and had water inside it but customer service did not hesitate to send out a replacement. So far I have had my ionizer in my pool since the end of June 2018. I have only used maybe one gallon of chlorine every other week and that was only because I was used to using two gallons a week before the ionizer!! My pool is very clear!!! With my robot vacuum and the AK600 there is almost no interaction from me except cleaning the electrode once per week and that only takes about 60 seconds to clean!! Overall I am very satisfied with the AK600. The alternative is the expensive, 220V wired ionizing units that cost over $600 plus install!!! If I can post pictures later I will.

While I was a little reluctant to fork out the cost of a product I knew almost nothing about, I’m really glad I did! The hot and rainy SoFlo summers make maintaining a crystal clear pool challenging and I have noticed a HUGE improvement with water quality, especially the “dusty” yellow algae that’s persistent this time of year. It is now completely gone and my trips to the pool store for chemicals and water testing have been cut in half. I only wish this fabulous pool product could be produced on a massive scale to help our troubled Lake Okeechobee be rid of the toxic algae that’s been killing massive amounts of marine life. I recommend this product to anyone with a pool and an environmental consciousness!

In Palm Springs algae is a big problem, no algae since we put this in the pool. And it is breaking up the calcium in the water as well.

After only three weeks of use, the pool is algae free and the AK 600 is even picking some of the dreaded Phoenix "calcium" that is in our water! Amazing!

It took a couple of weeks to take affect on the pool, but since it has stayed crystal clear and used very little chlorine. Very pleased with results.

I've had the device in the water for three weeks now. The water has been clear and has really reduced the amount of time I spend cleaning the filter.

we have used our ionizer since it was delivered in May. clear water no signs of alge all season, we have a salt system. I have only used 2 bags of salt since we've been using our ionizer. very pleased. the big test will be when our water starts cooling down this fall but I feel very confident. thanks again

I have had an ongoing problem with algae and keeping the pool clear. It seemed that I was always behind and playing catch up with chemicals, acid, shock, etc.. My frustration level was getting pretty high! I saw this advertised on Facebook and became intrigued. What sold me was the NASA connection and the technology working on the space station. And, I have a whole house water purification system. A component of that system is an ionizer, similar to this one. I decided to give it a try and it works! The algae seems to be gone and the pool is looking good again. When I checked the pool chemistry, it was good, without adding much acid.

So far so good. My pool has never been clearer. Arizona weather can be a challenge but it has been great. Let's hope it keeps it up!

Okay we are believers!!! Why I did not buy this years ago and safe tons of money on chemicals is beyond me. Well after our green pool was able to get balanced, our solar miracle took over and after too weeks the water is crystal clear and smells so clean like the ozone. Being here in Mesa AZ where our temps are 110 plus a breeding ground for algae is no match for our little miracle. Everyone needs this product!!!! Ray B.

My pool has been crystal clear since I put it in.

So far, so good. Have had it in my 30,000 gallon pool for two weeks. Just took it out to clean this AM. Chlorine use is already down dramatically. Thank yo. Clarity and balance are outstanding!

I had to stabilize the pool. The solar puck seems to be keeping up with the green algae in the pool. Use for 2- weeks. The test stkit for copper doesn’t seem tobe working. The water in tube say clear. Are the chemicals good.

Very skeptical at first but after checking into it was convinced it could possibly work. My pool catches sun most all day and even with high chlorine levels I would still get algae. Ionizer came in, i put it in the pool and just like they said it took 2 weeks to build up copper level but to my surprise i have no algae! I’ve had several bad rain storms which always upset my pool balance but still no algae! I’m using 1/4 the chlorine tablets ant pool is sparkling!! I’m sold!

This thing seems to be working! There was some algae in the pool when it was opened for spring, but it all seems gone now with a chlorine level of 2 PPM.

Really I just started using it so can't really comment yet.

Only have had it about 3 weeks but so far so good. I have had no algae problems and have started cutting back a little on chlorine. I did have to tie it off to prevent it from staying in front of my skimmer and blocking it. So far I am well pleased.

I just put it in today. With all the rain, been waiting to get everything leveled out before I started using it.

I received two days ago. But they don’t have copper test strip on the box. Do they come with a extra copper anode? I only have one copper anode.

This does everything it says it will do. Our pool stays crystal clear all the time. We have had temps in the 90's for 2 weeks and then rain. Pool is still crystal clear. Every year we have fought algae from the heat and rain but no more.Where has this product been for the last 19 years. One tablet every 5 days and that's all our takes. Great job and great product

Cleaned algea up in 2 weeks After heavy rain it took 1 week and looks great again.Be sure you add non chlorine shock like it states in booklet.Have had 2 friends buy one after they saw how it did in our pool. Love not having to add as much chemicals

I must say, I was really skeptical. The past 2 years I have been fighting a losing battle with algae so I decided at the end of last year to order this in the spring. When we opened the pool it was loaded with algae, we did the opening clean and cleared up most of it before using your floater. After using it for the past 3 weeks I am amazed. The pool is staying crystal clear. We have had a ton of rain but still haven’t gotten to the really hot summer heat. Hopefully it will continue to do a great job keeping the algae out of the pool.

We have had it in our pool for a month now and havent used any chemicals. We have a floater with some tablets it in and that's it. Fantastic product. Wish I had it years earlier.

I was a little leery at first, but tried it and all the algae was gone in one week.
